swimming and some more swimming :D

Everytime i go inside water, two things strike me. The awesomeness of swiming and why haven't i still written anything about it.

So here it is, yes I have joined swimming and am in the process of learning this awesome skill. The experience is liberating to say the least and the possibilities that it will open is endless.

I have always wanted to learn swimming but never really got a chance and somehow everything fell into place in perfect fusion and I started this class.

The moment you go inside the water and start floating, it is so peaceful. It is a divine feeling. As i take baby steps towards learning, one day i might not remember how different this learning experience was. But i will always carry with me the joy of being inside water.

Whenever i swim i feel as though i am away from everything, lost in my own world. I can easily hide inside water away from everything and then choose to come back whenever i want to.

Yeah I am a little crazy like that and just a little more crazy about swimming I guess :D

Ideas which don't work!!!

I want to write a story she spoke loudly

"Then write it" he absent mindedly replied steering his gaze away from the hot sun.

"Hmmm, give me some idea i will write it then." she was asking him hoping to get some interesting topic that she could write about.

" Write a nice love story" he had suggested, the only topic that she didn't want to write about.

she asked further pulling his leg "what kind of story, give me a situation or something about the characters"

"write a story where a girl and boy fall in love and get separated and unite again" he simply blurted out as though he himself was thinking on this story.

"and why would they separate and how do they unite?"

"That is what you need to think about" he replied as a matter of fact.

"But why do you want to make them fall in love and separate them. it is so stupid" she wondered at it.

"because those kind of stories make for the best love stories" he smiled at her.

she mumbled quietly "that never happens"

he hated it when she mumbled, it made him extremely curious "what did you say?"

"nothing, I just said this never happens in real life. I dont think i will write this story, give me some other idea"

He just shrugged saying "I gave you one".

Over the period of time she was right when she found those stories didnt happen, He knew he was right when that kind of story happened to his friend, One day he will let her know that such stories do exist in real life.

Harsh Winters!!!

She had grown silent lately, she was never seen active in facebook( oh she was such an addict of that stupid thing)

He always wondered what she was upto, what was going on through her mind, what was going on in her life. was she happy?

how he wished he could hear her stupid banter. Once she started she never seemed to stop. How he missed her making a complete fool of herself.

She had always been like that, shut tight into a small bud. He still remembered the initial days where she hardly spoke anything else apart from how much she had to speak.

Always distant, measured in her manners and words. It was way too funny in which she hid herself in a tight glass jar.Always on the guard never letting it down even for a moment. But slowly she started booming, beautiful and colourful.

But now the flowers had withered away in the harsh winter. He hoped that the winter had ended for her. He always hid far away and looked on hoping  to find another sun shining somewhere around her.

She didn't blame the weather, she was pretty much accustomed to this routine. She had little choice and control on the things around.
She also was now tiered of day-dreaming, it always came back to haunt her in this harsh winter. She always knew that spring was nothing but a short distant dream'

The flowers bloomed, rosy and colourful yet one day everything came back to this day of the winter- barren, lonely and harsh.

People often talked about distant land where there was no winter, just a slight chill in the air. a place where it was actually too hot that you would miss snowy winters (what an idiots to even think about missing this harsh dread).

She knew it was possible that such a land existed but she didn't have hopes to go there, she didn't  wish for anything.she didn't want to burn herself out in the fire of hope.

Yet daily she striked a match to light that stupid hope and hope always seemed too damp to catch fire.

snapshot-3 Breakfast

I was running late to office which is a norm for me but when i say late I mean extremely late. Yup i am working on it trying to stick to my time sense anyway, i decided to have breakfast in the bus and thus save some grace at office. How would I look when i am late and running off to breakfast as soon as i enter office.

Phew.. I really need to work on my time sense. Luckily i was carrying chapati rolls for breakfast that day (my version of the quick bread jam breakfast , spread my mom's chutni pudi on chapatis and roll it up.)

I got on the bus and waited for it to start. usually i would have been very conscious of eating in a bus but when you are late nothing matters i guess. I wished that the seat besides me should stay empty and that way i can enjoy my breakfast without any disruption. Just when i thought that an old lady with a small kid came and sat besides me.

The Bus started , having no other option I opened my box. As soon as i opened it the kid turned towards me and put his hand forward. I broke the chapati and gave him half a roll. He slowly started munching on it and i started to munch on mine. The old lady looked at him and nodded disapprovingly.

As i hurriedly swallowed the rest of my breakfast I kept thinking on what happened moments ago.

This sharing of breakfast felt like the most natural thing in the world. Even my nephew would have demanded it in a same way.

We are born innocent and as we grow we start building walls around us(rather we are taught to build wall either by parents or by experience). We start applying labels and judging things. How I wish that didn't happen.

Snapshots-2:Stringing things together....

Have you ever known things and yet it takes you a really long time to put it all together. One day all of a sudden you start connecting all the dot together and conclude to the most obvious thing that was staring in your face all this time.

She was driving to office that day, thinking that something was wrong in the past few days. Everything was going great for her in last few months and she was glowing in her happiness yet today she had the sinking feeling. Yeah, it was HIM. There was something strange about him. He wasn’t the same.

Yes it was definitely him. He seemed so uncomfortable when he smiled at her. She had asked him multiple times, what was wrong, He had simply brushed it off saying nothing was wrong. He was just tiered.

He seemed to be more silent as well. Suddenly he didn’t want to meet up after office. Even if they met, he would be restless and anxious to leave early. He didn’t reply to her messages, and even when he replied he didn’t seem to be himself.

He wasn’t teasing her any longer nor was he pulling her leg.It was as though suddenly he wanted to pull himself away from her and yet he couldn’t.

She heard someone honking near her. As she turned around, there he was madly trying to catch her attention.

"Hello madam, how come you are seen here in this area?" He questioned her teasingly.

"Well my college is nearby and I was going there to collect something, How come you are here?" she continued the stupid batter. (Both worked in the same office and were 5 mins away from their workplace)

"Oh really, how come you never told me. Its so bad of you. You are so mean I tell you" He mockingly scolded her.

She laughed and scolded him to concentrate on the road. After all everything was not so bad. She was just over thinking. They entered office and started their day.

Snapshots-1: Godavari (Ram and Seetha)

So this is going to be the first post for Snapshots and we start it with my all time fav movie.

when it comes to movies, i have to write about "Godavari". This one one is an amazing movie. it is nothing short of exceptional in my view.

It is a normal love story between two people, but what is amazing is the characterization of those two people and the fact of how they fit together with each other like a jigsaw puzzle.

I have watched this movie n number times and every time i watch it, i simply love the simplicity of the story, the way the love story builds is so real ,it is kinda real life fairy tale.

The story is build on a journey to Bhadrachalam (place known for historic Shri Ram temple) over the river Godavari on a launchi (a river Cruise)

#####################################################################################################################################################

During one of the festivities, the tour operator ask everyone as to "why are the going to Badhrachalam?"

There are many answers, but mostly the resounding reason is to pray for well being and pray for all  troubles to go away.

Tour operator questions them "Do you think anybody else in this world experienced as many troubles as Lord Shri Ram? What the Lord's story tell us is that,  Everyone needs a partner as ram had seetha and as seetha had ram then any troubles dont matter much"

#####################################################################################################################################################

Everyone reads Ramayana and takes away different conclusions. This one sentence gives a totally new prespectice to the age old mythological story and i kinda like this view point.

Don't you think it is such a wonderful thought. As long as you have that one special person in your life then nothing else matters.

Snapshots - Movies;Books;Life

I am happy to introduce the new section of my blog "Snapshots".

So what exactly will be these snapshots posts. Let me explain.

Often in movies, we spot a scene or a sequence , maybe just a picture which touches your heart and freezes your brain.

Yes the movie may be pathetic, but there is a particular scene which sends the chill down your spine or you just connect with it at so many different levels.

we end up going back to the movie just for that particular scene.

Same with books and Life.

Since a long time i have been wanting to write this section. document things that you find amazing.

So my first Snapshot is coming shortly... stay tuned :)
