well i have been wanting to write about this since long
background: a close family friend's daughter has just entered her teens she will soon be joining college so they were getting apprehensive and hence when they were just chatting about the teenage woes my parents gave them a peek into the "training" given to me :)
so here it goes
mom's training:-
it started roughly about when i was maybe in ninth and it all started with giving me the duty of setting the dinner table. now as simple as this may sound it isn't such an easy task for first timers. things like you should take care that all the dishes should be brought, apart from the serving spoons, water and plates etc etc. it wasn't easy because i invariably used to forget something or the other and was scolded.and this was the start to maybe three or four of years...
now the peculiar trait about mom's training was that she is very very particular about all the things right from which plate to use to which vessel for milk to rice and vegetable(mom's all around the world are particular about their kitchens)....vegetables had to be cut in various shapes for various dishes
so all in all you have to be very very observant else there is a danger of irritating mom
apart from the kitchen and cooking i even got trained for housekeeping ,keeping the living room spic and span to cleaning bathrooms
all these are very tiny tasks that i was made to learn but it taught me a great amount about responsibilities, efficiency and a whole lot of things
let me just add i don't do much work now since i have earned mom's certificate and her confidence and her confidence is a gr8 achievement to me.
and obviously i have become efficient in a manner that i can cook up a few decent dishes :)
most importantly i am glad that now i can think of trying to imitate my mom (i know i can never be like her but love to be like her)
LOl..we do get early training to so called MANAGE A HOUSE!
