So as i turn million years wiser i note down these disturbing signs of growing up.....
25) Suddenly you start planning for future...start investing and dream of stashing away each note to build a treasure in some years.
24) You start wondering about Real-Estate Prices...you have the sudden urge to settle down even if it is in a pigeon hole :)
23)You always find yourself running to ATM..no matter how much you withdraw it is not enough...
22)You want to do adventurous sports least you die with a boring tale to tell...
21) Sudden urge to take all decisions and hope to death that they are the right ones
20) Feeling the pressure to find your foothold as an "ADULT"
19) Trying to find every single thread of memory which leads back to your childhood.
18) Coming up with new traditions.
17) Bonding very hard with all your childhood friends...and always keeping them closer..you dont want to die alone.
16)Finding out that every smile in not genuine and Always than not sweet words are coated with some sour intention.
15) feeling the pinch of loosing innocence.
14) finding joy in playing hopscotch, pakkda -pakdi, hide and seek with kids.
13) Catching yourself eating toffees.
12)Becoming a health freak
11)Nursing unnecessary fears.
10)Trying hard to keep your faith.
09) Not meaning everything you say.
08)Learning to be diplomatic and nodding your head at the right time.
07)Constantly and forcefully stealing away some "ME Time".
06)Going to movies to hangout.
05) Looking wistfully at a group of college friends.
04) Desperately trying to find ways to go back to college...post grad...Phd... I don't care..
03)Each day cursing that moment when you wished to you want to be an Adult.
02)Thanking your stars that you still have some little kid who keeps popping out and keeps you sane.
01) And last but not the least Think excitedly about all the gifts on your Birthday instead of wonder when did you grow up so soon :) :)
Yup you guessed it right. feeling the birthday jitterssssssss....
And the countdown has started. Just 19 more days to goooooo ...Yayyyyyyyy

sigh... i remember being called 'Uncle' by college kids while waiting in a movie queue. That was the day I officially realized I WAS OLD.
ReplyDeleteAt 25, I had no idea about life frankly. Now, well.. I still dont know how to run this crazy thing called 'life' but I atleast know to survive it. :D
